Bio

Luis Villalona is a Dominican American cellist and music educator born and raised in New York City. He is a classically trained cellist with extensive experience teaching cello in schools, community programs, and private lessons throughout NYC. Luis holds degrees in music and music education from CUNY and has worked with students of all ages and experience levels, with a strong focus on teens and young adults developing their technical skills and musicianship. Passionate about accessibility in music education, Luis strives to create engaging and supportive learning environments where students build strong foundations and grow with confidence. He works with beginners, students returning to the cello after years away, and those preparing for performances and auditions.
