Bio

Arina Bagaryakova (Bagarisha) is a songwriter, performer, and music educator based in NYC. Since 2023, Arina has served on the faculty of Berklee College of Music’s Day Sessions Summer Program. She has also led workshops that connect music with social justice at the Live Room nonprofit in Morocco, Algonquin Regional High School, and Boston Arts Academy.

A full scholarship recipient from Berklee College of Music, she appeared on “The Voice” and the Junior Eurovision stage. In 2021 she performed at the JEN Conference with John Patitucci and Kris Davis. Her role as a selected composer for an installation by a Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos  at MassArt Art Museum ‘Valkyrie’, featured in Forbes article, marked a significant moment.

In 2023, she collaborated with an experimental music label 577 Records during a month-long  SOF Music Residency in Tanger, Morocco. Bagarisha had the opportunity to record with GRAMMY-winning pianist Leo Genovese and a drummer Federico Ughi. In 2024, Bagarisha released her debut album Svet with an exciting collaboration featuring turntablist and sound chemist Val Jeanty.

Singing for me is spiritual. It’s an intimate and vulnerable experience. I remember how nerve-wracking it was to begin—how my body would shake every time I sang for someone else. Because of that, creating a supportive environment is essential to me. At the same time, I’m here to guide you: to offer suggestions, point things out, and help you notice new possibilities—so you can decide for yourself how you want to sound and express who you are.

My piano lessons are equally personalized for all ages and skill levels, from children just starting out to adults reconnecting with music. Beginners will learn note reading, basic theory, sight-reading, and technique, while more advanced students can explore harmony, improvisation, or even composition. For younger learners, I use engaging, age-appropriate games to build a strong musical foundation.
