Pricing: Weekly In-Home Piano Lessons: $294 per month for 30 min lessons, $361 per month for 45 min lessons, $409 per month for 60 min lessons.
Styles: Classical, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Movie and Video Game OSTs, Music Theory, Ear Training, Keyboard Technique.

Bio

Born in Tokyo and raised in both Japan and the U.S., Aya Yuasa is an award-winning piano teacher with 7 years of professional experience in private piano instruction and a B.M. degree from Berklee College of Music. Known for her fun, patient and engaging teaching style, she recognizes that everyone is unique, and creates a customized curriculum to best suit the individual needs and interests of each student. Lessons are as relaxed or intense as the student wishes, and can include music theory, ear training, composition, music production and more.

Teaching Info

I teach music theory, technique and ear training through fun, engaging lessons, and encourage students to explore new sounds and styles while furthering favorites. Students are exposed to a full range of genres including classical, jazz, rock, pop, and even movie and video game soundtracks through careful selection of repertoire and exercises based on student preferences. Lessons may also include composing original music, arranging and music production.

I recognize that every student is unique, from the shape of their hand to their personality and their learning style, and tailor each lesson to bring out the best in them. Instruction can be relaxed or rigorous depending on the students goals for the lessons – either way, I make sure that learning the piano is always a fulfilling and fun experience!
