Bio

Christian teaches all ages and styles. He has worked with university graduate students, pro-musicians, singers, hobbyists, TV actors, and children young and old.

Christian holds a Master of Education Degree in Music Education from Columbia University Teachers College (with NY State K-12 certification), A Master of Music Degree in performance from Manhattan School of Music and a B.F.A. from the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music.

Christian has shared the stage and played with artists Justin Jesso, Gavin Turek, Hank Azaria & the EZ Street Band, Mike Wartella, The Knocks, 50 Cent, Questlove, Raye Zaragoza, Richie Cannata (Billy Joel), Moonboots, Spencer Ludwig, St. Lucia, Skout, Max Weinberg, Arlissa, Blu DeTiger, Juliana Madrid, Mree, and more.

He has also performed across the country at many legendary venues and clubs, including The Apollo Theater, Irving Plaza, Paradise Rock Club, Soho Beach House Miami, DC 9, Brooklyn Bowl, Knockdown Center, Webster Hall, Joe’s Pub, World Cafe Live, TLA, Music Hall of Williamsburg, Blue Note Jazz Club, The Norva, & Bowery Ballroom, among others.

Some other notable performances and tours include national TV performances on LIVE with Kelly and Mark, The Today Show, the Grand Opening of the Virgin Hotel NYC, Art Basel Miami 2019, and multiple tours with Gavin Turek, including a US tour supporting Hayley Kiyoko.

Teaching Info

All piano and keyboard lessons begin with an assessment of goals where students receive a personalized method tailored to them. Each student learns differently and has different goals so a personalized method is very important. Christian uses method books for piano, pop and jazz repertoire, Jazz improvisation techniques and classical repertoire.
