Bio

Hello, I’m Matt. I’m a performer/freelancer with over a decade of experience performing in venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Chicago’s Symphony Center. I have studied with several prominent professionals including Alan Baer, Scott Tegge, and John Rojak. I am excited to work with beginner/intermediate tuba and euphonium players.

Teaching Info

I specialize in classical performance with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. However, I strongly encourage students develop well-rounded characteristics beyond the method book. This includes being able to play in several genres, a strong grasp of music theory/aural skills, and a healthy approach to work/life balance.
