Bio

I’m currently offering lesson in guitar, composition, music theory, and electronic music in NYC or on Zoom. All levels and ages welcome!

I am Juilliard-trained and have years of experience as a composer and educator. As a composer, I have written for leading new music groups, including the Aizuri Quartet, Alarm Will Sound, Latitude49, Sö Percussion, Contemporaneous, Yarn/Wire, Albany Symphony’s new music chamber orchestra, Dogs of Desire, and The New Jersey Symphony, among others.

I have lectured at Princeton, Columbia, and Montclair State Universities.

I tailor each lesson to your goals—whether that’s mastering your instrument, writing your own music, or exploring the world of sound design and technology. I have taught hundreds of students over the course of 10 years, from ages 6 – adult.

I believe learning and playing music should be fun, and am a warm and patient teacher.

I play and teach across genres—pop, classical, bluegrass, folk, metal, and jazz—adapting my approach to each student’s interests and goals.
