Bio

Internationally-acclaimed harmonica player and composer Yotam Ben-Or  have performed on Broadway and at renowned venues including Blue Note NYC, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center, toured Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and have worked with artists such as Avishai Cohen and Lizzy McAlpine. Ben-Or moved to NY in 2014 after receiving a full scholarship to study at The New School and was mentored by harmonicist Gregoire Maret since his teenage years.

Teaching Info

I’m teaching students on any level who are genuinely interested in deepening into the world of music. My main instrument is harmonica, therefore I can benefit harmonica players the most although I’m more than open to teach other instrumentalists as well, especially those who already know how to play on an intermediate to advanced level.

We’ll work on fundamentals of the instrument (tone and technique), ear training, rhythm, basic theory, and practicing efficiently. For those who are interested we can go deeper into theory and harmony and work on improvisation and composition.
